Here are a few things that I put together a good while back, hence the lower resolutions on the wallpaper. These images are scanned directly from books and should be original (original high quality scans that is). Enjoy and I hope to add more "stuff" soon.

To set the wallpaper of your choice:
1. Left Click on your choice and nearest resolution
2. When large picture loads, right click on it and select "Set As WallPaper"
Note: If your resolution is not represented, simply use the Stretch feature located in Control Panel > Display Properties > Background
Here is a Calvin and Hobbes Screensaver I made in the mid-90's while learning Visual Basic. It's old, may not work, doesn't actually save your screen as it is white, but if you remain undeterred, unzip into your c:\windows\system and go for it. Maybe I'll make a better version someday.
